3D Model with Physics for Spark AR
In this tutorial we'll be covering 3D models with physics in Spark AR. Using blender to rig an existing 3D model from TurboSquid, creating an armature with bones and weights, and exporting an FBX file. Then we're going to apply the physics on the model in Spark AR, using 3 custom made patch assets to control the movement of the bones based on the head rotation.
Better physics for Spark AR
In this tutorial we're going to rig a 3D hair model, weight paint it correctly in Blender and create a material in Substance Painter. Having a finalized object that we can use in Spark AR.

Pushing creative boundaries through AR & digital
fashion
My name is Ran Bensimon, I'm a Filmmaker and digital artist from Jerusalem. In 2018 I graduated from the Screen Based Arts department of Bezalel Academy. Coming from a gaming background, a main guiding line in my creations is mixed media. Mixing AR, 3D animation, video and photography together in research of new creative possibilities enabled by recent technological developments and the way they change how we create and communicate. In the past year and a half I've made an increasing use of these mediums, experimenting ways to bring them into the world of art and fashion, working with fashion brands and magazines like Cartier, Michael Kors, Burberry, Balenciaga, Esquire and more.
In my talk I'll cover some of my major projects that stemmed from collaborations with other creators online. Processes in digital fashion, AR and Instagram Filters, the combination of art and fashion in virtual and digital art - what is happening in this field today and in which directions it can develop.

In addition to my other projects, I have had the privilege of being a guest lecturer for Spark AR Workshops at prestigious institutions such as Holon Institute of Technology (HIT), Minshar for Art, and Shenkar College of Engineering, Design, and Art. These workshops provide a platform for students to learn and explore the world of augmented reality and its applications. As a lecturer, I have the opportunity to share my expertise and knowledge with aspiring artists, designers, and technologists, guiding them through the process of creating augmented reality experiences using Spark AR.
During these workshops, I cover various topics related to AR, including the fundamentals of augmented reality, the capabilities of Spark AR, and practical techniques for designing and developing AR effects. I provide hands-on demonstrations, tutorials, and real-life examples to inspire and empower students to unleash their creativity and push the boundaries of AR technology. It is a rewarding experience to witness the students' enthusiasm as they grasp the potential of augmented reality and its impact on various industries, from art and design to marketing and entertainment.
Being a guest lecturer for Spark AR Workshops allows me to contribute to the growth and development of the next generation of AR creators, fostering innovation and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of augmented reality.
