Creating Cinematic Digital Fashion with Marvelous Designer, Blender, and Unreal Engine

Marvelous Designer/CLO3D facilitates the design and simulation of lifelike virtual attire, emphasizing realistic draping and movement. Post-simulation, Blender refines these assets, optimizing geometry, textures, and details.
Unreal Engine elevates the final product, leveraging real-time rendering for immersive environments and dynamic scenes. This trio—Marvelous Designer/CLO3D, Blender, and Unreal Engine—synergizes to produce visually compelling digital fashion showcases, merging realism with innovation.
May the 4th Tribute
In the project "May the 4th Tribute," I combined the prowess of Marvelous Designer, Blender, and Unreal Engine to craft a cinematic digital fashion experience inspired by the Star Wars universe.
Character Creation: Using Unreal Engine's Metahuman Creator, I developed a lifelike digital representation of myself, ensuring a high degree of realism and detail.
Digital Garment Design: I designed a Jedi-inspired outfit using Marvelous Designer. This software's robust simulation capabilities allowed me to achieve realistic draping and movement for the garment, capturing the essence of the iconic Jedi attire.
Asset Refinement: After designing the outfit, I transitioned to Blender for further optimization. Here, I refined the garment's geometry, applied detailed textures, and ensured the asset was primed for integration into Unreal Engine.
Prop Modeling and Animation: I modeled and animated a lightsaber, a quintessential element of the Star Wars universe. This involved intricate 3D modeling, texturing, and animation to capture the weapon's iconic glow and movement.
Cinematic Production: Within Unreal Engine, I integrated the Metahuman character, Jedi outfit, and lightsaber. I then orchestrated animations and camera work to create a dynamic and immersive cinematic tribute for "May the 4th."
